Rural Health Team
Adelante Healthcare's Rural Health Team uses a new, 39-foot mobile medical center to provide primary healthcare and outreach at 17 schools in 11 rural communities. Patients are provided services similar to those available at our fixed locations.
The Rural Health Team covers nearly 6,300 square miles, visiting schools in the far West Valley communities of Aguila, Arlington, Buckeye, Gila Bend, Palo Verde, Tolleson and Tonopah. The team also visits Bouse, Morristown, Salome and Wenden each year to conduct hearing and vision screenings at schools that do not have nurses. The team served nearly 2,000 patients in 2004.
